I'm just trying to figure out where I want to get stationed next year and I'd like to have a few fellow TW members near by. I was in Petersburg for 2 and a half years and enjoyed it so I want to head back up that way.

That's not an option for me since there's no station or cutter out of there.

    Too many to list now.
Kodiak is probably your best bet for that. We've got a strong presence there :)

I'd say girdwood.but we don't even have a police department, and definitely not a coast guard station hahha

    Cordova, FTW!!!

There isn't a road in or out of my home town but then again neither does Kodiak....

More miles of road on the big island however.

CDV has a ski hill though, pretty tough to beat that!

Yeah they do, last year they had to get the national guard to help them remove snow after one huge snowstorm

I have some bad new my Tacoma brethren. I've decided to leave my current job and come home to a civi job so I can be home and not travel so much back and forth to work. Unfortunately this means I've got to let the truck go, BUT fortunately it also means that if any of you want parts ie suspension lights bumper winch I'm willin to part them out for a very decent price as long as your ok with giving me your stock parts in return. Ill do the entire suspension set up (icon coil overs up front bilsteens in the rear and Dakkar leaf packs as well for 2k plus your stock parts the bumper will be a little harder to sell only because I don't have a bumper since I crushed the stock on but I know there's a few of you guys who now also have MGM with stick bumpers so if your interested in swapping let me know ill let the arb go for 400, 600 including the winch. I've also got two sets of lights hella 500s/700s both converted to HIDs an are stupid bright and easy to hook up ill let em go for 110 for the 700 and 80 for the 500s. Let me know if your interested. The truck is up on CL an it'll be on the lot on base after tomorrow so if it sells as it sits then the parts go with it. I would much rather hook up a fellow member who I know will appreciate these parts for under half the cost. Maybe if I'm lucky I can find a older taco maybe a toyota pickup that will be easier to afford with the pay cut.

John sucks you gotta let the truck to man but I'm sure it'll be worth it to get rid of that drive. You have anything lined up down here yet?

Well if you love outdoor stuff this is the place to go. AWSOME hunting and even better fishing, some of the best halibut and salmon fishing in the world. If you have a 4 wheeler or something there are some AWSOME trails to hit. A couple our trucks can hit too. Plenty of hiking and mountain bike trails all over the place. But just like any island there is only so far you can go and do. But I def love being stationed here. Prob won't ever get to do this again, but I love living and flying here in kodiak. Any other specific questions?

I know I know it blows. I love my truck but I need to be home. And I do actually. I'm hoping for another agr position here at Elmo but if that falls through nicks actually leaving toyota but he's already talked to his boss and he says he'd hire me almost instantly if I applied so that's my back up.

Last year's epic snow storm in CDV was a freak occurrence. It hadn't snowed that much since the 70's (ish). CDV gets A LOT of rain in the winter too.

Still it's a pretty fantastic place, albeit small....like 3,000 people.
