I bout a brake controller and do not know which wire to tap into for the brake light switch. The actual switch is behind the instrument control panel i believe. Any help would be great and pics would be awesome. If I can't figure it out by tomorrow I'll have to have Uhaul put it in. Thanks

There must be some wires behind the brake pedal - the wires send the signal to the brake lights, etc. I think blue wire is standard brake wire colour.

    Guys,
What year truck had a blue stop light switch wire?

I have a 2003 and plan on tapping into the stop light wire this weekend for a brake controller. The wiring diagram in the 2000-2004 FSM shows a green-yellow wire between the 10amp fuse and the switch and then a green-white wire on the other side of the switch heading towards the Engine Control Module.

Can someone confirm which wire should be tapped?

This is an awfully late reply but it has been determined that the green and white wire is the one that you tap for your controller. There are four wires on the back of the terminal on the back side of the brake switch. The only way I could reach it is to take the bottom of the dash off and the large black vent tube and to unhook some other terminals. Not an easy task.
Maybe this will help someone else that needs to find that wire.
