    Don't forget to add:
the rear camera didn't stop his truck from smashing a wall at 20 mph in reverse.
Toyota dint remove wind resistance, and his mpg dropped a 75mph.
his 4wd, on dry pavement didn't prevent him from going into 4wd.
the fenders didn't have warnings inside them for 325/85 r20s possibly rubbing
His steering wheel was never balanced safely like tires... both are round.

and .... when he got dizzy and passed out when Toyota didn't tell him to use compressed air to fill a tire to 35psi.

Sorry I didn't read the whole thread, just the few first pages.

Op, you shouldn't have made the thread if you didn't want all the fanboys commenting and making all the asanine comments & remarks.

With that said, you figure the best (IMO) Tacoma community on the net would realize its not the Op's responsibility to fix his truck. No one spends $30k on a truck with flaws, doesn't really matter if its an easy fix or not, the dealer should fix it, period.

I got a '12. No problems. To call two model years a "Class Action Lawsuit on Wheels" because of a simple noise with a known fix is the most grossly exaggerated thing I've read all day.

because of those idiots I had to waste time arguing with Toyota CS and the dealers about cutting my pedal. One even warned me that I could not get it inspected without the recall done. Now in my 2013 I have a go cart pedal. The pedal fix was a knee jerk for a problem that did not exist, at least on the Tacoma. The only ones that really win in class action suits are lawyers. Ex was part of the phen phen suit. Out of a $100k settlement she got $35 and had to sign a waiver.

    Mhmm.

I personally fix all my issues, I hate all dealers. Even if I know they will fix it under warranty if it don't cost much, I'll still fix it myself. With that said, I do think its a little ridiculous to invoke the lemon law / law suit for a simple fix like the 12+ whistling noise, but if he says he tried to fix it without avail then it's probably a different issue, an issue the dealer should fix. I'd be pissed too.

A few of you should read the COC as well.

My '12 had a bad coolant smell for the first year and now it's fading away. My mom's '12 Corolla had the same smell. Not an issue anymore..

The noise the OP mentioned I used to get also but it was the small trim piece on the lower corner of the windshield vibrating and load after 80mph. After I installed a leveling kit the noise started but after I installed a bug shield the noise disappeared.
