    Lots of expensive shit
The way the mounts are set up off the side of the frame they don't need the springs to go under the axle. The mounts don't hang below the side of the frame.

I doubt you will have any performance issues to worry about. People like to over complicate shock angle theories. Set it up to where it cycles as much of the shock as possible for the given wheel travel and you will be fine

20" of travel with a 16" shock and this is the angle at bump.

16" of travel with a 14" shock and this is the angle at bump

get the mounts off the axle where you want them and then bolt the shock to them, dropp the suspension out and extended the shock. Get a sharpie and stick it through the upper shock eye, trace the arc on something, a piece of ply wood or cardboard thats attached to the frame. After that fully compress the suspension, and leave about a 1/2" of shockshaft showing. Now trace that arc on the wood/cardboard sheet. The point at which the arcs intersect is where you want to mount your shock.

I did mine with a long piece of flat stock. Heres a pic as I was finding the angle, suspension fully bumped out trace the arc, fully dropped out trace the arc and i ended up there .

Should I add a few more holes in the "empty" space in the corner or is that over kill?

Agreed, the extra hole wouldn't look good.

    Looks great nice and simple.

Hey I know everybody worries about somebody steeling your investment and I was ordering up all my fasteners and found these
    https://www.fastenal.com/web/produc...Search&rfqXref=&rfqKeyword=&rfqId=&rfqLineId=

I would have preferred them in a fine thread but they should work great. I think in conjunction with 12 points should make the thief work a little harder. http://www.mcmaster.com/#cadinlnord/91271a724/=moblvc

    or hex head

    Thanks,

I think the hex head would be a little harder to get off as you can still break a 12 point loose with a regular socket. The locking nut looks pretty cool. Do they sell a socket that goes with it?

I think I might just tack my lower bolt and call it a day. If I need to take it off I will cut the bolt.
