For the very serious problem OP is having, there is nothing Toyota can do. I suggest seeing a therapist. My 2013 doesn't whistle unless I pass by an attractive female.

I wouldn't sue for noise but I would join in on the ring & pinion gear ratios stuffed into the rear end! I had to go from a 3.31 to 4.10 just to get the truck into 5th gear. And I'm old and over the hill.

I ended up buying a whole 3rd member assembly new from Toyota with 4.10's for a 4 cyl. 4x4. Now, I have a whole complete 3rd member that can be reused with just over 3,000 miles setting it the heavy cardboard box in my garage. Anyone want to buy it? I was told by MANY aftermarket gear installers the cast part / carrier that the pinion rides in can't be used to install lower gears because Toyota moved the pinion location on the truck with my gear ratio....BULL $H!T!!!

This is PER TOYOTA: the cast part / carrier has the same part number from 2005 to today in ANY & ALL Tacoma's that DO NOT have a E-locker, 4 cyl. auto or manual, V-6 auto or manual. Again, they are ALL the same in ALL TACOMA'S! The tech that installed the new one from Toyota said it was identical but the ring & pinion!
