Yea like i said. I need more research before deciding that. And more fab pratice.

    could be a good idea..

yea the synth line is gonna be way nice.

and i don't think ill truggy it. I think Links will be the way to go for me..Or i go full out LT and do a center front diff. Some of the new IFS stuff like you said is getting pretty dang good..

Frankenstein though will just become a trailer princess mainly and beat the hell out of on the trails. Mid travel will probably happen on the dbl cab

Move the whole cab back on the frame so you can move the motor back enough to fit a 9" Currie center diff up front, then ditch the whole bed for nice bed rack and some monster coilovers to go with the 3-link:drool: Badass desert rig right there! haha

yea..if only i have lots of desert to do..although there is racing up here...

im also very interested in doing a 3uzfe 4.3l Lexus V8 swap..

and i bet id make a custom oil sump and it could probably be done..or if i did a 2jz swap then i could get a custom rear sump and do a center diff..

I better get a good job outa college..lol

    ohhhhh.

yes i did..but i only had a 5 lugger body, frame, some random mechanical parts and full interior. The body went on my frame and is still there. I kept a lot of the interior and parts for a few months to see if anyone needed the parts..but they were taking up room and i had to toss them.

Congratulations on an awesome build man..
On a side note, we have a stupid (IMO) 20 minutes of "silent reading" every day before school starts every morning.. So over the last week or so I've literally read your entire build on my phone haha. Talk about taking advantage of a bad situation, after you rolled your truck, I think it just set it free. I have to admit though, I do miss Frankenstein's original color.. But something about the way it is now is just fitting haha. I call this the "portable daylight build" haha your light set-up is sick.

    Oooookay guys.

    Voting time.

So I can afford one mod this year. Not sure when. But one big one and that's it.

I have two choices as I see it right now.

    1) regear to 4.88s and get a lockrite in the back and front

    2) crawl box...and maybe a lockrite in the rear

    Thoughts guys???

FOR THE LOVE OF FUCKING GOD THE SECOND ONE.

but you HAVE to have some sort of locker if you are going to bother with a 2500 dollar crawl box. no two ways around it, just fucking stupid to open diff a crawl box, see anyone else who does that? nope, nobody.

2400 bucks for number 2 and that's before drive shafts and a crossmember..

    That's a 4.7 crawl box from marlin.

And custom crossmember?? Or just like TG one??

Be in the oil fields in AK. Mostly likely 3 weeks on 1 week off.

Gives me 2 weeks off all summer besides almost all of August.

So minus travel days to get there that gives me 14 days.

And don't talk to me about patience...I spent almost all summer putting this damn thing back together bolt by bolt and wire by wire...so stfu drunk ass haha
