Sorta. Not really. Need it for living costs in St. Louis. And pay off new truck.

No idea yet. Idk if you'd qualify with your deafness man not sure they would allow that. CB radios and cell phones are huge there.

Shoot, you're right. Well, I have skills in tech and other things, and I'm always willing to learn, so if something I can do and pays well, I just might do it. Though I have a good job right now, just not the pay.

I wouldn't want to take time away from your crawlbox!

I guess option 3 is LT front..

I do like the idea of twin stick crawl box and lockrite in the rear..seems it would work well. Then save for arb up front.

Decisions..

 

I would not do an auto locker in front unless you also convert to manual hubs. Is that what you asked raisin Mark?

He said its tricky but if your careful it works great. Plus..he romps on his so..can't be that much worse for ADD hubs..

 

He's told me he would never do a lockrite type locker in front with ADD. Ask him about that part.

 

He didn't mention not too..but either way..I'm not sure I'd like one up front anyways.

Out back I can see it working okay and if. Don't like it get an arb later.

But a crawler and lockrite out back might be pretty sweet...

 

A crawl box would be nice. Kinda pricey for what you get tho. Not sure its for me but then I doubt I'll ever run 35s.

Yea even without 35s tho..would be very nice I think. In lander that was the one thing I wanted. Was t go slower. Jon's 5.29s helped him a lot. Not like drastically. But he could still go slower then me.

We will see how my summer goes..

I would want a doubler before I went LT. I prefer crawling to jumping though. Hell you could just throw some 4.7's in your t-case and that would be pretty damn low. Granted it wouldn't be low-low but you would still be moving pretty slow.

 

Crawlbox and lockright in the rear (although I'd consider an Aussie locker over the lockright). 100% no Brainer.

 

I'd throw a crawl box in it and a spartan in the rear(stronger than a lockright)

 

#2 only if you get the locker in the rear though. Like Mark said a crawlbox is practically worthless without it.

A crawlbox for Mike and I is less important than it is for you Monte. Auto is pretty much already a crawlbox, especially with 4.88's in it. If you get real good with 2 foot crawling in the rocks it does amazingly.

Tacomas have chain driven cases and cannot be regeared. 1st gens are stuck at 2.28 and 2nd gens at 2.57.

 

Idk if that would be more fun then a crawl box..

i don't think it would be totally worthless without a locker. But a lockrite is not that expensive. So id get one if i did this.



looking at clocking the t case as well at 15º so then i can make a flat belly skid..

 

Crawlbox would help in places like Moab where there is practically unlimited traction on a lot of trails, but anything that would put one tire in the air would cause problems real quick without a locker. Around here all of the rock is too loose so you spin a lot.

i think slow delivery of power will help in a lot of situations.

 

Huh..Spartan and Aussie only make the 7.5" IFS front locker..nothing for the 8.4 rear..might have to stick with Lockrite.
