hey I'm obviously new here, it seems like this is a pretty cool website. in the near future i will be asking for all the ideas and help i can get :).
i'm planning on doing series of mods. The important ones for now.. are: a lift (can't decide on how much), a custom front grill, custom front and back bumper, and i'd love to do some engine mods.. maybe CAI, maybe a super charger, something to get the HP up a little.
the 2 main areas i want to work on are suspension (read mud) and Engine (2.7 I4 = slow)
    well that's my truck.

umm I live in Oregon, it's a great state especially if you like mud... it rains like seriously 4-5 months out of the year but it feels like it damn near rains all the time. I am currently a Wildland Fire Fighter (although i don't know where i'm going this season). I try to spend every waking moment outside, hunting, fishing, off-roading, working, etc.
so yeah now you know the deal.
    see ya out there.

Welcome! You'll find tons of information and some interesting people floating around this site. Keep your sarcasm meter handy! :p Post some pictures of your truck if you get a chance. It's always good to put a name with a ride!

I stopped off in Eugene for a week back in September 2005 and really had a great time. Perfect temperatures every day, bright sunshine without a cloud in the sky, and outdoorsy people everywhere I went. Turns out I was there the week before the rains started so my perspective isn't quite reality, but it was a great place for a visit!

    Welcome to TacomaWorld!

I'm always surprized when people accuse the 2.7 of being slow. It puts out 37% more power than my last truck and a whopping 59% more than the one before that. :D

    thanks for the warm welcome.
haha the 2.7 feels so underpowered to me, driving to the mountain is a real task when you can only go 45 mph... hopefully if i toss 20-30 more horses under the hood that won't be such an issue...

who knows i might just go nuts and put like a gigantic turbo on with some Nos and plenty of stickers...

Welcome to TW, I was in the Portland area last summer for 9 days and loved it, you have a beautiful state, the 2.7 litre will pay off here in the coming months, you won't be fast but you'll be farthest.
