So yours are amber as well when the engine is on, and headlights off?

Yep, you have to tap it into a 12v circuit that's on all the time for it to stay white.

Its bc of toyota and the way they dont believe in using seperate harnesses for things. They tie in power in the dtrl line and cause the amber parking leds to come on when key is on because that is now where it is getting power.

Just finished installing. Lessons learned: check your lights before you put everything back together. What are the odds that not a single light worked after I put everything back together. Anyone?

I'll tell you, 62.5%! I had to go back and flip almost every led light (all third brake, both rear turn, both license plate, left map light, dome light, and right front turn).

Without a doubt, the dome & maps light are awesome :D. I'm still on the fence about the white DTRL. The stock amber looked brighter to me, but the sun was behind my back.

Have some wire and connector on hand to extend the resistor cables. There is not an easy way to mount it on the front drivers side. I'm looking farther back between the battery and firewall (I can only speak for the 2013).

Chris, the self tapping screw heads are to big. They are rubbing on the side of the resistors.

That enough for now, I need to finish my honey do before she catches me doing something that I want to do. :smack:

Finished installing the resisters last night. To be honest, I'm not to impressed with the white DTRL. The stock yellow incandescent bulbs were brighter IMHO. I'm wondering if they should be getting more power or I might have been expecting to much.

    image.jpg

I also notice that the turn signals in the side mirror are not visible from the front when activated. They are still visible from the rear. I need to figure this one out.

Just to verify, the thin green/red on the flasher plug is cut and capped. The two solid green wires form the horizontal plug, on the middle right side of the fuse block, are cut and tied together with the add a fuse.

For the brightness on the DTRL's. Yes, the incandescent bulbs are brighter..one huge problem I had was my rear turning signal LEDs. They just weren't bright enough to even see during a bright day. LED's I think are best if they are looked directly at, but at angles..they can be hit or miss, especially during the day..and the reflectors for the rear signal and DTRL don't reflect as well with LED's as with stock bulbs..IMO

Just installed the interiors. Instillation was easy once I called Chris and he provded me with the best way to not damage the housings. Lights work great. Waiting for it to get dark out to check them out. Chris is an awesome guy and willing to help via phone if needed. Much recommended. Thanks again Chris.

Parking and Reverse are plug n play. To get them like the video takes a little mod.

I'm interested in the light under the hood, I'm sure you've explained it somewhere in the thread but being that the thread is 98 pages long I'm to lazy to look. How does it work?
