don't ride but I live up in Huntsville so general SAMs is just north of here and they also just opened another park on the west side of Huntsville that looks like it could be fun.

You should totally pick up a used bike on craigslist and haul it out to the trails. It's hella fun.

 

There's miles and miles of trails up there. Arguably the best trail riding in East Texas, and it's right up the road from Houston.

As far as rules are concerned, you have to have your yearly off-road trail sticker on your bike ($30) and pay the $5 for the daily trail access (it's done on an honor system, drop an envelope into the box). ATVs and dirtbikes are all welcome.

Not many, surprisingly. However, for about a year now, whenever I would drive the car for long periods of time (driving around all day, road trips, etc). When I would come to an idle, it would periodically pour out white smoke from the exhaust.

We think there was a small crack forming somewhere on the engine block, which was causing coolant to leak into the engine (explaining the white smoke). When I traded it last weekend, it had just hit 68k. I had been eyeing the Tacoma for awhile anyhow, and I didn't want to wait for something catastrophic to happen. Obviously, I felt bad sticking someone with an issue had I sold it privately, so I traded it, and got a fair offer.

 

It's called Texas Off road ranch. I'd love to get a bike my hobbies are kinda on hold for a while now lol.

 

I have no problem with taking my sport bike for some spirited riding on the back roads or on the track... But dirt bikes scare the bejesus out of me for some reason. Maybe it's the idea of having that much power tucked into a featherlight frame.

That being said, I plan on having a sumo one day.

I have a few buddies with the same fear! Lol most of them have race bikes they ride on the track down by Angleton. But when its winter time they go buy cheap dirt bikes and try to hit the trails. Best laugh ever! Two guys would go out there leather out! With their road helmet on! Even on the dirt bike tracks! They had little 10 year olds hitting doubles flying over their heads.
