Yep that pretty much sums it up. Anything conclusive ever discovered? That thread kinda died with only guesses and no definitive answer.

 

I'm not sure what makes the noise , but it is definitely related to the traction control system

 

TW gives spacers a bad name for a good reason. Your definition of "4-wheeling the shit" outta your spacers is quite far away from the level of wheeling that some people on this site do. To each their own but I know that I would have snapped a shock by now with the stuff we do out here in CO.... Which is why I forked out some for some fox extended resi's. Btw Millertime I love your truck I've always been a huge fan of silver single cabs

any lift or change in tire size / wheel spec can cause the VSC system to become more prone to engagement

This tone is definitely something to do with the threshold just before the VSC / traction control actually kicks in

If you haven't already , you should get your skid control ECU recalibrated , this may lesson VSC engagement due to the lift or tires

Thanks OZ-T. I haven't bought that truck yet and needed to know what I might be getting into. Doesn't sound like that big a deal and I would definitely tell the dealer about it so it becomes a known warrenty issue.

 

Does it have a lift or oversize tires?
