    That is certainly a part of it.
    When you buy a vehicle... new or used... you really do notice them more.
    There are no more or less 2nd Gen Tacomas on the road than there were when I got mine in December '11, but I've seen a lot more Tacomas and a lot fewer Suburbans since then... and between 2009 and 2010, I used to see S-10 Blazers all the time, and now I never see them.

    But ya... there are a LOT of Tacomas in SoCal... mainly because there are simply a lot of PEOPLE in the LA area... 10 million in just LA County, 40 million in California.
    Los Angeles County has a population higher than all but SEVEN states, and is within 3 million people of the next three!
