    Been there... the Toyota de Baja California factory (it is between Tijuana and Tecate on Hwy. 2)... Where my truck was built... You see semis full of new Tacomas northbound on I-5 in San Diego County coming from the Baja factory. I do think they are all Double Cabs.

    Snapped these super-secret photos as I drove by. Put on your x-ray glasses and see the 2015 truck (not bad, as the photo was taken in 2010)!

    Correct.

    TMMBC makes 100% of the production line's composite beds (up to 200,000/year) and up to 50,000 trucks. All are V6 Doublecabs, but this does not represent 100% of the DC production.
    The rest of the Tacoma production is at TMMX in San Antonio, along with 100% of Tundra production.
    Sequoia production is still at TMMI, where 1st Gen Tundra production was done.

    Hell of a lot better than the 2014 4-Runner.
    I'd rock that one. Nice cross between the cabin of an FJ, with a small bed for hauling stuff... and decent offroad capability if it's on a full frame.
    If not, it's just a UTE.

    Some people don't need a full bed, but need more than a trunk/SUV/station wagon, and want better offroad capability than a minivan or crossover.

    I'm sure that's not going to be a Tacoma replacement, just as the FJ was not a 4R replacement, but it does fill a practical market niche.
