Hey everyone! I just bought a 2008 tacoma 4dr 4x4 and i'd like some advice on a lift and tires. After reading about the different lifts I'm thinking a 2.5" lift front and rear with 31" tires. Any suggestions on brands? Not sure if I want the leveling kit... most driving would be on dirt logging roads, soft sand, and of course to work everyday.

BDS offers a 3 inch. Lifetime warranty, no questions asked. If it breaks they replace it. It won't break, I have the 6 inch lift from them and go off roading at Rausch Creek often. Honestly, all the drop bracket lifts are fairly similar though.

Or get some coil overs and crank them up. Some guys prefer that.

thanks for the replies but after reading other threads I think i'll be doing airbags with 2" blocks in the rear and a 2.5" spacer in the front. does anybody see any problems by going this route?

    Not enough

I originally went the spacer route, but quickly realized the ride sucked! Save your money and do it right the 1st time! Leaf pack change and adjustable coil overs (and other goodies as needed). It’s more expensive, but doing it twice is a waste of $$$.

x2..That setup will make the daily drive unenjoyable very quick, especially if it consisits of dirt roads and sand.
