    To be honest I can't afford the ammo to attend many matches. With weekly zero verifications, bi-monthly training, annual training and everything else required by the POST board. The cost of ammo especially now is ridiculous. I love Whittington Center that 1000 yard range is beautiful and the silhouette range is barrels of fun. If anybody wants to head that way let me know and I'm game.

    I hear ya man. I took some time off from competitive shooting myself. Between load development, practice, food, travel & ancillary expenses like entrance fees & such I just couldn't justify it any longer. I sold off a few Sako TRGs along with the optics & the rest of the accessories I used for this purpose. Kind of hard to justify a rifle worth nearly $10k sitting in a safe that never gets used. I figured when (read: if) I got back into it I'd start fresh. Not sure that will happen the way things keep getting worse.

    Maybe in some counties, but you usually have to pay between 2.00 to 15.00 bucks. In many areas dispatch charges the cops and fire per service call, so free VIN's went the way of mullets.
