Oh, I'm sure that was a really pretty area! I'd like to explore more USFS roads in the Beartooths. Would be awesome.

In related news, going up (i.e. from here to Jackson), I got 21.8 MPG!! But, on the way back, I got 23.8 MPG! Pretty sweet!

Thanks Ben, I'm pretty happy to have that photo in my portfolio now!

Lisa: sorry, just can't resist reviewing my photos! Been pretty much shooting nonstop without review, since the sun is so bright!

Looking back at your photos you posted, I can now recognize where you took them!

    Oh yeah? What for?

That's pretty good MPG...24 is the best I've ever gotten in my truck and it was on a Yelly trip, I think the low speed limits help a ton

Mom loves mooses too - she was thrilled to be able to see two today!

We interrupted breakfast for this little girl...
    moose_zps61823911_63e7e5f416054ccb732c9d67a5a05c2b388ea2ce.jpg

And this guy tried to come into camp and check out our scrabble game. I think if mom hadn't have gotten so excited and I hadn't run to grab my camera out of the truck he would have walked right into camp!

    Okay fine...

Here are some pic. One thing that was nice is how gorgeous it was the last few days.

Heart mountain in the background. I live on the other side of it. It's actually a "upside down" mountain. Older on top then bottom. Why? Huge ass volcanic eruption. As the absorkas were all volcanoes.

Got here at 9:15pm finally. We left cody at 5pm. Took us about 3 hours to get to the truck and this is what I see...

    Yea..that's a gmc 1500..looks like a s10 buried like that

So we grabbed the shovels and went to work..

About an hour or two later

    fe4d484604fdcd8406479f21802fbfad_zps95b1_d81fca5ffe98ad9e34713b3da35efdd18a002ab0.jpg

Okay..so then..I use my truck to pack down the snow for gmc. While I'm nose to nose with it he tries to back up behind me. His chained skinny tires cut strait down and he get high centered and stuck...and I can back out..

Had to hi lift my driver side and push the truck over to get me a clear path. I got out. Winch and pulled the gmc. Then the cpgmc tugged the shit out the ford to get it out. That took all the way till 3:07am exactly.

    673a2ee74679b876d3a0bca473f836d5_zps75c8_1a267dfeb9f7e48b7b46bc2bbf7c61840c09a276.jpg

Y this time we were exhausted and mad. So we drove down at a good pace. I have 0 issues driving over the old path. The gmc would get stuck tho. And then the ford..had to tug them both at so,e point.

Grant I will admit I got stuck at least 4 times. Was odd. I'd get stuck in real simple places..he wouldn't. I would go right on through the hard places. He would get stuck.

Slept till 11am after getting to camp at 5:30am

    24ae5fa8e9926cab4df575fecc105462_zpseedc_d528f46f1ace8c780cc65ef0614af8625faed147.jpg

They were very low on gas so went too Cooke city for gas after a lunch/breakfast. Grant and I did a bit of exploring but due to the fact I forgot my boots. My shoes were virtually unwearable. So I was barefoot the whole day.

I have more photos from my gopro and vids but ill get them later.

    Re are just day shots

looks like snowmaobile tracks in the snow...did people actually drive over it? any marks on the hood/roof?

There two were both pretty motley looking too, just starting to lose their winter coats...and I'm sure they wished it was already gone - over 80* today!

I'm glad no one else came too. Woulda be sooooo much slower and the likely hood of people getting stuck..

I wasn't mad till we couldn't get his ford out. I was ready to just leave it haha

Nope was all good Orr then the passenger door handle cause a friend of theirs used a snowmobile to dig it out to the door to make sure it was fine. Snowmobile tracks everywhere tho.

The couple walked out 13 miles the next day after it was stuck too haha
