SA,TX Meet in July

Ok so i went by the place saturday after work, found it, gate was closed & locked probably should have called, checked out the scenery from the road and it looked pretty dry there was no water from what i could tell but it's halfway to medina lake so if anyone wants to take a dip we could probably head over there. I'll call Dan back on monday to see if there is any water out there.

 

I'm having trouble finding this place on Google maps, how'd you locate it?

 

FM-1283 & Park Rd-37

That should get you where you need to be. The ranch is directly off PR37. If you are headed from FM 1283, it will be immediately to your right once you turn onto park road 37 (heading east toward 16). If I remember correctly, there is a very noticeable gate that has "Cline Ranch" wrote on it.

The google maps for the region are 2+ years out of date, so I wouldn't be betting on much of a representation for what it currently looks like (as far as trails go).

 

I've delivered mail out there I took Hwy 16 (aka Bandera rd.) out to park road 37, which is across the highway from the predator paintball range, went up about 8 miles on PR37 and came up to the gate which does in fact have a big Cline Ranch sign on it.

 

Yea I don't think anyone will have a problem finding it.

I'll let you guys know if anything changes and I can make it out, but as of now I'll be a no show. I had made plans a while back to give my self a little birthday present and take a vacation on the weekend of the 11th.

That will get you directly to the front gate, and allow you to pull up a google street view if needed.

if you booked a hotel or ticket already, thats understandable, thought you were road trippin. I went to the last meet at Drifters and wanted to have one here in SA, since I had seen alot of members on here from SA that may not have heard of or weren't able to make tha last one.

So what are the details so far? Where are we going to meet and what are we going to do?

 

The meet will be held at Cline Ranch, if your unsure of where the place is at we can meet up in Helotes and yall can follow me there. There is a place to camp but there will not be any facilities (bathrooms, running water, or electricity). I'm bringing a charcoal/wood BBQ pit to cook on ice chests, I'll stop by academy and see what kind of port o potty i can find for the ladies and squaters. For those that want to off road there are trails, for those that are wanting to get wet we could drive down to medina lake to cool off (bout 15 min.) Basically a meet and greet with food, off roading, and water, not too many mods being done this time if anyone wants to do them.

 

If you decide to come, plan an extra hour to stop by my place and me and Nicole will take you to Top Notch burgers in Austin. It's literally on your way, and is friggin' amazing.
