    We do spend a lot of time in the park but not on the main roads :cool:

    No cramping. I would like to do it in late July but with Monte's meet the first week of August I don't think its a possibility this year because that's A LOT of vacation time to take off in the summer.
    I've mapped out a route and I have driven all of it in various trips but I'd like to do it all in one stretch...should be interesting trying to live out of our trucks for that long. I was thinking of making a rule that the only things you can buy are gas and ice...any other purchases will result in "consequences" :drevil: Little or no wheeling, a stock rig could do it no problem, just a lot of dirt roads and great scenery.

    Well fine then! This trip is more camera friendly, more the "norm" for me. Gravelly, the 1st section, has lots of side roads to explore but once we get towards the boundary of Yellowstone and Grand Teton its a little more restricted and we have to stay on the main road.
    As far as exploring there is Black Butte which is a mini-devils tower, big springs which is an area that the water just bubbles up out of the ground and starts flowing down the river, figured we could do a few short hikes around the SW corner of Yelly and in Grand and then theres the hot springs to soak our weary bodies in at the end.

    You could bring the new truck, it would be perfect. I'll post the route later...maybe i should just start a whole thread

    Gravelly Range, yes. I just totaled everything up and the route is about 350 miles with about 300 of that on dirt. Start point in Ennis, MT and ending outside of Jackson, WY

    yeah...its been pretty dry for the last few weeks, we need some rain. cell service is cut out here, I think the winds today messed up a tower or something. we had a dust storm in town earlier today, the cloud was so thick that I couldn't see anything more than a few hundred yards
