New Truck -- Thanks Tacoma World!

Just wanted to drop in and use my first post to offer a hearty thank you to Tacoma World, especially the 2nd Gen Forum. What a great place! I've been quietly reading threads here for the last 8 months and learning a lot about Tacomas, which was very helpful in deciding which model was best for me.

I'm now the proud owner of a 2013 Barcelona Red Access Cab TRD Off-Road w/ Tow Package. I have an ARE MX Topper on order.

I've wanted a truck for a few years now, but decided to wait until I was in a position to actually use it for what its designed for. That time has finally come. I just retired from the Air Force and I'm going to spend the next few years following several passions in greater depth and detail, one of which is photography. This summer, I'm moving from Colorado to Northern California, and after settling in, I hope to spend a good portion of my time exploring the landscape of the great American West in my Taco.

Attached are a few pics that I took. I look forward to hanging out with you guys and gals and I'll do my best to make making meaningful contributions, both in terms of helping others and sharing my adventures as well.

Thanks again for the awesome insight and inspiration -- it was super helpful in picking out the right truck for me.

Congrats on the great looking new Truck, also congrats on retiring.

I just bought the same Truck (mine is a 6 speed) 2 months ago. It is my second Tacoma, and I'm loving it so far. But I also loved my 02 TRD.

I'm sure your new truck will serve you well. If you haven't already I would order some weather techs, I wished I would have not bothered with the factory all weather mats. The weather techs are much better.

Sounds like this may be up your alley too if you are planning on doing some exploring. They have a huge Toyota following, not just Land Cruisers.
