Ok, thanks Greg, I am just doing a little research and trying to see if there is a common LT KPI and how much off CL of the tire the scrubs are running. Toyota seems to like a 12º KPI from factory, wondering how much is common for most LT manufacturers.

 

I just added this to the Baja 500 thread, and some of you might be interested, too:



What's new over last year is running south through Mike's Sky Rancho, then west through El Coyote and along the river to Colonet, then south to Camalu before taking the coast road back north. A full 500 miles!

I saw a first gen double cab built with a shock hoop. 2 gas can fit between the shocks, there was a rack on top (bed height) for a cooler and camping box and wheel wells back was open. He was a multipurpose 4x4 (prerunner/trail/crawler), sua with upward shackle for clearence. Looked pretty good, lots of room. I'll try and find it.

I've driven by them quite a bit and have thought about having work done there just haven't heard of anyone who has. They do good stuff? I wanna get my slip-yolk done someday.

 

Tyler also had his gears just done there as well.

 

Well if the big T can trust them...

 

Had good luck. Felt like they where just trying to get me what I needed with what I had to spend. Didn't oversell, didn't want to sell me something that I would regret.

I thought about an aux tank as well. I would still consider a small rack on top of the shock hoop, maybe 18" or so. Just enough for a cooler and or cargo box. Don't really know what you carry. Would make a nice bench when unloaded, stand for watching races. It also is easy to put ice in the cooler when its in top.

I've seen guys buy truck tool boxes and just make them latch on and off. Easy to load all your stuff at once.

 

the back of the truck is for Geology and Prospecting gear, the trailer keeps all of our camping, food, water etc. Likewise I still use the truck for Home Depot runs too, an open bed is preferred.

 

I wish I was racing this year!!!!! Need to get with a team again and go for it. Last time was 07'
