That's what I was implying with the "need 1-2" part.

Alex I would recommend using a pipe/tubing cutter over the hack saw

Alex, brakes are overrated... that's what other cars are for. Invest in plate bumpers and you'll be all set

I bought a roll for the 29 from Napa for pretty cheap. They also come in stick lengths and I think they have the fittings already on and flared

If he's careful he won't have a problem. I've got one especially for it. Its a tiny little thing with a tiny little blade. Can you see him in a really tight spot fiddle fucking with a tube cutter?

Speaking of... Anyone heard from him? Prolly crushing line and cursing up a storm :)

I've bought a stick before, still had to bend it up.

What I do is take the old damaged one off and lay it on the bench and work the new stick into shape slowly while comparing

Agreed, and also a good time to use a pipe cutter. Got a feeling Alex will be flaring lines still attached to the truck.

That's what I was trying to step him through, easy and effective. You know he doesn't have that shit up on a lift in a well lit shop with every tool known to man.

Any one try the new copper line avail? No need for the little bender it bends by hand just don't kink it.

Try bending flaring SS tubing for natural gas FFUUUU THAT

I wonder how it holds up over time against the brake fluid.

Not to butt in but you can take a torch and heat it to break it free. Just heat a little at a time in short burst till it breaks free. In yalls neck of the woods they are probaly always a bitch.

Someone on T4R recommended a vise grip. The vise grip really helped! It still took me way too long. Lots of rust, cursing up a god damn storm, and fitment issues. No leaks that I can see.

When I went to bleed my brake lines, the fluid was DISGUSTING! I am gonna flush my system in a few weeks.

Anyone have issues keeping the Toytec lines clipped in the brackets? Mine keep going through my bracket... Really annoying

Also, the bolt that holds the brake line bracket on to the axle sheared while I was backing it out. Really frustrating. I will have to drill out and tap that to keep the bracket from rattling, etc.

Glad this is finally done. I'm gonna go cry in the corner now. These lines kicked my ass all day.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Luckily I was able to take em out the easy (yeah fucking right) way

No, another lesson learned...sucks that it was the "hard way"....:(

PREP PREP PREP.....soaking ANYTHING that will get a "wrench".....

When we did my axle seal my son chuckled at "Old Fashioned Dad" spraying ALL of the "parts" that would be touched BUT when it came time to free up that bleeder,:D....

Alex, if you can "handle" the pressure of brake work, everything else is "EASY"...unless you like Puggas idea...."Massafie it" with a plate bumper... :p WTF ;)
