I like Musburger. Not so much Herbstreit. He just bugs the hell out of me.

After coming out of the dregs of the 80's and most of the 90's we became spoiled with consistent 10 win seasons. Anything less than that and a major bowl or MNC is a let down.
With the talent we can get there is no reason we shouldn't be playing for titles every 3 or 4 years.
We were on our way to a solid dynasty then the whole damn thing fell apart when Colt got knocked out of the game against bama.
We will be back but I think it's time for major changes in our athletic department. Not sure if its complacency or cockiness but something is holding this team back.
    WE ARE TEXAS.

Herbstreit is still butthurt over the beatdown they got from us in the bowl game... I think he had some pretty "impressive" stats...

    Yeah.

He should know that I'm not at all confident that my statement is true.

The glass-armed-warrior was leading his team down field when Dareus gave him the little love-tap that ended his college career. Lots of Bammers around here are SO SURE we still would have won, but the game was closer than a touchdown in the 4th quarter as it was. With Ms. McCoy at QB all game, who knows what would have happened.

I'm not convinced Bama will be a force in the west this year.

Pretty much my feelings exactly. Except for the dig on COLT McCOY. Who at the time was the all time most wins leader and the most accurate QB in the history of the NCAA.

Saban has stated MULTIPLE times that the team is not where they need to be. Not good this early in the year. Starting off badly is never good. The spring game looked like garbage offensively. Saban was pissed, AJ is out dickin around, the newbs were so stressed they probably shit diamonds that night. I'm understanding in the area of, we've won a lot lately. I know most Bama fans expect to be a contender every year. I'm just not seeing it. aTm? LSU back on top? I just see Bama making some mistakes this year. And this year I feel those mistakes will put us out of contention. Just my opinion. I know its early, but Saban is correct when he says that its hard to repeat, to get the team refocused and recommited after a NCG win. I can't imaging what its like going after a 3rd.

McCarron might be a cancer to the team depending on how the publicity gets to him but I don't see y'all collapsing and not being at the top of the West. Take McCarron away and you'll still have one of the best offenses in the SEC just by running. I think LSU repeats their performance from last year or takes a step even further back due to losses to the NFL. I also think the Aggies take a step back due to losses to the NFL and defenses learning to key in on Johnny Fumble. Arkansas still isn't much of a threat, it'll take a year or two. Ole Piss and Miss State still don't have the talent and depth to get more than maybe 9 wins. Auburn is probably the best to rebound, but even then, do you expect Malzahn in his first year to take control of the SEC west? Overall, the SEC West might be a little bit weaker than in years past, but that should play right into Bama's favor. Bama also has a very favorable schedule. If I'm a Bama fan, I'd stop being pessimistic.
