No, the latch is disabled/ removed with the installation of the kit. It operates the same as regular power windows.

I actually left mine on and just squeezed a thick piece of foam in there to keep it open all the time. (Works great!)

I have two llc's they are easy to setup, don't require anything special as far as taxes go, and the whole point of them is to limit risk and liability. Smart for you to look at it but it shouldn't be a hurdle. Heck i think you can set one up for 90 bux on legalzoom or whatever.

What he ^^^ said.... though it does take some time which you are very tight on. Legal Zoom... or a few hours of research and filing. We also did our own. All said and done I think it was about 3 weeks waiting for the state \ city paper work to come back, and under $200.

Secure? You do realize right now all you need to do is put your palm on the glass... push inward and to the passenger side at the same time and pop... it slides right over! I'm thinking with this mechanism in place it would actually have more resistance. Truth be told... a little window isn't stopping any asshole from taking your stuff. Nowadays, they can take the whole truck quicker than fumbling with a little back window!

I think its because he wants to do the install himself. Its not as straight forward as the original kit, therefore there's a good chance it will get jacked up.

Has anyone else been able to order the original kit from BenWA recently? I've been trying get a hold of him through PM for a couple weeks now but have not received a response.

According to the posts I've read, he is still selling the original kit for a double cab. Just not sure how to get a hold of him. I'm really wanting to buy one.

BenWA, please let me know if these are still available. ;)

    Thanks!
