$600+ to install a lift?!?!

oh i definitely understand everything that goes into the prices... doesn't make it any more reasonable.

some things aren't worth paying everything that goes into having someone else do it for you for some people. especially since i wanted to do this instal myself from the beginning. but with my trip coming up i figured i would look into the easy route (which a lot of times is the more expensive route)

 

was quoted 250 to install front coilovers, aal and rear shocks. That seems reasonable.

 

where are you at?????

 

honolulu, have to figure to add 80 for the alignment, they don't adjust the coilovers so basically the price is just for the plain install.

 

I didnt mean it towards you but to the shop. They shouldnt need all day for that job.

 

I spent about that much but installed 5100's all around, OME 885's up front w/top spacer, TC UCA's, rear AAL's, new rims and new tires mounted and balanced, TPMS taken out of the stock rims into the new ones, mounted and balanced my stock rims and tires back together and an alignment at the end. Took them about 7-8 hours I believe. Awesome work too!!

 

It really depends on where you live. In a major city at a very reputable custom shop they are going to charge more than the mechanic next door or some buddies of course. I live in Houston and have approached 3 custom suspension shops in the past and they wanted anywhere between $500-$800 to put my old OME 885 coils, 4 OME shocks, uca's, AAL spring and get an alignment. If you know someone in the business it really helps out too, very high markup on that stuff.
