    I'll tell him.

Hey Scott, you don't have to bring your compressor. :D

BTW, the oil seals the dealership sold me are for the wheel bearing. I got drain anf fill gaskets as well as oil seals. They had no spring clips in stock. Who really needs 'em anyway. ;)

Everything will come apart just fine, I know it. :)

    Don't worry, be happy.

    I have too many Toyotas...
Everything... and a bag of Cheetos.
I'm curious to hear how this job goes for you guys. I had to do this on my '97 a few months back, but I just said screw it and replaced the entire arm on both sides rather than fight with the bushings. I've heard they're a mother to press out.

Luckily my cams/sleeves popped right out with a whack of the rubber hammer. What bushings are you using? I was going to get some new ones and have them pressed into my old arms so I have a spare set.

    Also, Tom...

What ratio did you go with again? 4.56 or 4.88? I'd be curious to take a ride in your truck once they're broken in to get a feel for the difference in gearing. I'm still debating ratios.

4.56. It feels a bit like stock again, maybe a little more torque at the wheel. 1st gear wants to roll, which is the most noticeable. Had to compensate with the clutch on 4.10. 4.88 might be a bit more fun but happy with what I got. Goal was to get back to factory feel with maybe a little more oomph.

That's what I'm looking at... When I get back I'm going to call TC about their MT kit... A member on here told me they had one for sale ... I'm also trying to find a LT kit.... And I may go with that to get the 3-4

This. If you want 6", go solid axle. Drop bracket isn't worth it in my opinion unless you are in it just for looks. You could do a 3" suspension lift + 1" body lift and do ok. If I didn't already have the sliders welded on and Elite bumpers I'd put on a 1" body lift.

SAS seems like sooo much work! I think I'll go LT ... Only thing I need to find out is if the LT kit comes with the lift or if I need to lift it first then LT/MT. Anyone know?

Getting an LT kit should come with new coils, giving lift.

Yeah, a long travel kit might give extra lift, especially if you heavily preload the coils, but that's not the point of long travel. The point of LT is to optimize the suspension and provide the ability to go faster in rougher terrain, like whoops in the desert... or east bound Gibson passing the runway.:p A lot of long travel trucks are quite low..

yar, Silas put this betterer. The kit should come with whatever you need to run LT, coils included. Any alterations will make it run different than what it was designed for.

So don't be going and buying a lift and then the LT kit.
