Jeff and mods had enough of Fab's sarcastic and blunt remarks. So they kicked him off CT. There are several threads on it at CT. I'm sure you see the FREE FABTACO signatures from some of the members.

Interesting. I don't mind some joking around... And I tend to be "blunt" myself -- Although I do recall him going over the line a few times... Too bad it had to come to a ban, tho. Never good to see.

Mazu's summary is pretty much the main points ... As you recall, potroast, Albert could be (ahem...) 'pointedly blunt' at times - a quality tolerated and even appreciated by his long-time CT chums / foils but unappreciated by (a) certain newbs and particular CT-zens who seemed to draw his 'fire' (most especially X-Runner owners) and (b) the CT staff (of which I'm one), who were having to deal with Al-induced (or Al-amplified) flamefests on an increasingly frequent basis.

Fab' was discreetly warned behind the scenes on multiple occasions going back to 2004, put on probation earlier this summer, and finally banned around the beginning of August.

None of us on the staff are 'happy' this came about, but then again we were far less 'happy' with the perturbations and ill-will ... :(
