i dont want to tell yall this but sunday, my gf and one of our friends went to lunch with my dad and brother at red lobster, we had our puppy with us so i tied him up in the bed of the truck, did my best to make sure he didnt have enough slack to get over the sides. So we go inside, i order a drink then go outside to check on him, well there was enough slack and he was hanging there by his neck. i grab him and get his collar off he was fined and after a couple minutes was back to normal
I thank the Lord that he let my dog live b/c it would have been detrimental to my gf and me
sorry but i needed to tell someone and i cant tell the gf and i will never tie him up back there again

Glad that he's okay man- It sucks cause you think you got everything covered and they find something to do that screws it up.

Try finding a back corner of hte lot and tying him to the hitch or putting him in the cab...

Glad you got to him in time.

It's too hot to put him in the cab even with the windows cracked. DO NOT leave him in the cab!!!!

Get a SHORT leash and a body harness if you are going to leave him in the back. Or better yet, make a cage like a few others on here have made. Then no worries.

Man that brings back a memory!!

We had a Brittany Spaniel hunting dog when I was a kid. My dad's pride & joy! My dad had an eye bolt in the middle of the bed. I tied him in one day & we headed out quail hunting. I looked out the back window and he was gone!!!

We were doing about 65 on the highway....my dad stopped and he was hanging backwards (collar pulling on the back of his neck) kicking and freakin out.

My dad almost killed me that day.

Wow man. I'm glad your dog is ok. Close call. I see a lot of people around here with kennels in the back of there trucks for their dogs.
