Good thing your truck can't hit 88 mph or else you'd go back in time.

    lol... wtf?

Reminds me of the PA system I saw when I went to my first AC/DC concert.

Is that secured in any way?

Haha it was overkill! Got it for a really good price and had a lot of fun with it when my buddies and I would just hang out. I'm over that now and just want to get one good shallow mount 10".

It wasn't secured by anything except for the passenger seat, the joker was heavy too! I admit it could probably have done some damage if it could have somehow got passed my front seats.

Can't give you specific numbers as I don't remember haha but it was a Kenwood 1200 watt amp running those four 10" subs. Definitely the loudest subs I have ever heard. But I guaruntee you that the sound quality probably wasn't near as good as yours is. I was still running $60 door speakers from Wal Mart...

lol mine is a 4000w amp..2300w RMS. Subs are 1000w RMS Each and 3000w peak. Plus the 6 other speakers..haha Subs would flex the roof of the truck easy...man..so stupid how loud i would play it sometimes..

Favorite "TURN DOWN THAT DAMN MUSIC" moment with it was when i pulled up in front of my house and i had only had the system for like 2 days. BUMPING the shit outa it and my buddy and i jumped out to try and locate a rattle. My house is like 25' away and the kitchen is on the backside of the house. I get 2 texts from both my parents say"TURN IT DOWN!! your rattling all the dishes in the kitchen" :anonymous:  wow..haha

definitely have hearing loss from that shit..so stupid..

yea sound quality was and is big for me. But i just wanted to be able to play it loud as hell and still have it sound good. Worked great to open the doors and put the 6x9 Kickers out the slider window and back up to the soccer field and blast away. Was great. But i don't need it anymore.

Need to get rid of a sub. I have plans for a custom box/storage unit for the back.

Haha that's a LOT of wattage! We put cups of water on my roof and made it rain haha it was pretty cool. Seeing your roof flex is defintely fun to see.

The first day I was home with that setup, my parents informed me that they could hear be coming down the road a good 2 miles away from inside the house... Then one day I turned it up in the driveway and it was rattling random items in the house... My dad wasn't too happy haha

I like the idea of getting some removable outdoor speakers and put them in the bed or something, but honestly I just want a clear sounding system now. The setup I'm looking out is going to run me around $900. That's for door speakers, tweeters, a sub, box, 2 amps, a headunit, plus all the wiring. It's not overkill, but it will definitely sound clean.

Pulled the locker actuator on the trd axle I'm going to swap in. It was pretty dirty on the inside, all cleaned up and running great now!

    Look at build!
I love the amped doors! I'm not even worried abt the rears, you don't really need them anyway.. You still going to do a box like I did or you gonna just use the existing cubby? I think I'll re do mine for an 8 soon

I'm going to raammat the passenger side cubby and seal it as best as possible then fill with with some of that polyfill (?) (Monte recommended it, I have it bookmarked). Cut a piece of plywood to match the lid, carpet it, recess the 8" sub in the plywood and hook an amp up to it.

Just filled up for the 2nd time since removing my topper.

Just got 24.3 mpg, my second best avg ever (24.4 being 1st).

I'm convinced (yeah yeah after only two tanks) that no topper with an empty bed is the best for fuel economy.

Now I just have to figure out a way to store my topper in the rafters of my puny garage... 45acp is gonna love me with all the projects I have for him when he comes down :)

Dude rears are way important for low mids and mids. Id never get rid of them. Where all the warm of sound is produced in a car stereo.

You'll want to seal up the entire cubby as best as possible. Then put polyfill in it to make the sub sound better

    Like he will complain

I practically had to take tools outa his hand when he came and saw me! lol
