In the Aurora shooting, if say, "some" of the people were CC in the theater AND at the same time you are CC.

BAM. One person is shooting. Now another.

It's dark. Movie playing full blast.

    Now multiple people are shooting.

    You shoot.

Did you kill the right person?

I had a co-worker shot at that theater and I only can imagine it being worse, sadly.

Id rather try and do something and take my chances than look down the business end of a 12 ga and just wait for the flash.

    anyway.....lets move on. LOL

    Another reason Android = win.

I've been with AT&T for 9 years. .. never had an issue. Just wish all the carriers in general weren't so pricey for data

Better not try to fight a fire because unless you're a trained professional there's a super slim chance you'll make the situation worse, right? I think I understand your logic.

I mean someone could kill you, like on accident. The Theater situation is one of those places where non-trained people are going to make the situation worse, from when they decide to engage to when they end up in court.

The best vision is 20/20 hindsight, take what was learned from the theater, improve your own skill, build on your own training, know your guns....so in the off chance you get stuck in a situation similar, you know exactly what you need to do, where your family needs to go, how they need to report it while you employ your practiced tactics and save lives.

There's so many things in that statement that I don't know where to start so I won't so I'll say this: people who.don't understand firearm ownership or shooting have a picture of those who own firearms that is inaccurate largely thanks to the media trying to paint us all as bumbling idiots who are a danger to everyone just by existing. The fact of the matter is that for every Aurora movie theater situation there are literally tens of thousands of situations that would likely be similar that are stopped by a citizen with a firearm. In fact there were three the very next day nationwide that weren't reported by national media. Shit happens and life is filled with tragedy. Saying you're safer w/o a law abiding armed citizen in vicinity of you than not is foolish and akin to saying that in the slim chance an untrained person doesn't know how to properly use a fire extinguisher and could potentially make things worse we need to outlaw them. The last thing I'll touch on that is fueling your ideas unfairly is this idea that all people with badges are not human, always make the right decision, can't miss with their shot & are infallible while those w/o a badge are the exact opposite needs to end. There are civilians that are amazing shots, calm under pressure & make amazing split second decisions and even train & mentally prepare for random situations all day every day. There are also those who have a badge who possess very little of those qualities. I've seen both sides with my own eyes and this idea that we all just need to leave the responsibility of protecting our own lives to the police because it's their job is dangerous on many levels.

Exactly. This applies to LE and non-LE alike. A know a LOT of non-LE who take this very serious and it's a substantially higher number than those I know who I would be afraid to come to my rescue.
