What do you guys think of the body armor bumper?

Selling some of my guns namely some AR15's to buy one I think. Is there another quality bumper out there for cheaper? I don't know shit about them so any suggestions are appreciated but I'm on somewhat of a budget and can't afford any of the crazy expensive bumpers.

This one I was surprised to see it listed for 758 when most are so expensive.

    Thoughts / suggestions?

In my honest opinion , I think that bumper is pretty ugly

Can you suggest somewhere to look for bumpers? I really have no idea about any manufacturers etc.

What are some good brands out there? What about a cheaper bumper maybe with less bells and whistles but still accomplishes the base task of an aftermarket bumper.

I'm hoping to find something for $500 ish, if I can then I can get away with just selling a barrel or something :p

Honestly I need to reduce my inventory anyway, I've run out of room.

ive read the rear bumper usually comes without problems, but the front is a challenge to get mounted and is obnoxiously big anyways. spend an extra few hundred and go ARB imo

    Can't have too many :D

I wouldn't buy that bumper, that thing is fugly :puke: Some alternatives are ARB, Relentless Fab, Elite, Armortech (I think they make bumpers), CBI, All-Pro, Demello and Pelfrey Fab.

I used to have an All pro plate bumper on my truck and I liked it. But after going LT and getting glass up front I had a custom one made.

    All pro

That CBI offroad bumper is pretty sick, brutally pricey though. But I guess they're all "expensive" to me.

I'm wondering if I should be focusing on getting it lifted first though.

Wait for a group buy. Some of the vendors on here might be having Memorial Day sales coming up. Last year, the Black Friday sales were pretty awesome.

That bumper looks like its heavy as hell and has worse angles than stock.

Brute Force Fab, Relentless, ARB, All Pro, Demello, Shrockworks, TrailGear, Pelfrey Built, just to name a few companies. All them look better than that.

I'm going to highjack my own thread, what is the best of the "cheap" lift options? Spacers on top of the struts? I'm only looking to do a 2" lift or so for now, my biggest concern is tearing up my cv joints, I'm for sure going to drop my dif, though I'm still researching and learning how to do all this.

I don't know, what do you guys suggest? I don't have thousands to spend on a quality lift, so its going to have to be a "cheap" option, but I only want a couple more inches inches anyway. (thats what she said)

If your going with a bumper. Save and get an OME 3 inch, toytec ultimate, or combine OME and 5100's with an aal.

Bilstein 5100's, I'd avoid spacers. Depending on how heavy of a bumper you choose, you might want to seriously consider aftermarket coils to help with the weight.

I think it may be best for me to start with 5100's keeping oem coils for now.

When I do get a bumper I'll probably upgrade my coils.

Anyone know of a 05+ tacoma bilstein 5100 install video? I've scoured youtube but haven't turned up anything useful yet.
