Duralast Blanks and Duralast Ceramic Pads. Lifetime warranty so when they wear out, they'll actually give me another set (I think they're banking on people not keeping their vehicle long enough to require another set of brakes). I've had them for a little over a year now, they're quiet, bite better than stock and relatively low dust (probably similar to stock). I would like to add stainless lines to my setup eventually but I'm happy with this setup so far.

Nope, purchased in store at Autozone but I'm sure you could order them online. Duralast is AutoZone's house brand.

I had the duralast lifetimes on my old pickup. had to replace them a few times, but my rotors were bent so not fair. I replaced the rotors with value-craft, they quickly warped too, and continued to ruin the pads.

I do however have midline or top of the line pep-boys pads on the car, which have been fine aside from the horrible dusting.

oem on the car next, oem on the truck if it ever needs them

Yeah, it sounded crazy and I questioned them pretty hard about it. I told the guy, "You do realize that even if these things perform perfectly, they will still reach the end of their life" he said "Yup, just bring them in and we'll give you another set. We'll look your name up in our system" (I had to fill out a short form for the warranty, just basic information). Pads and rotors cost me around $150. Pads were just over $50, rotors were just under $100 for the pair. The only downside with the rotors is the don't have the threaded jacking holes that the stock ones had so I slathered them heavily with anti-sieze when I put them on. I was a year having them in March and they seem to be wearing very well, I'd buy them again.

I'm partial to Brembo blanks and Hawk pads - I put them on all my vehicles.

EBC dimpled and slotted rotors and EBC greenstuff pads.

I am very satisfied with the setup. since install, they have endured a couple of years of offroading and heavy towing. I regularly tow a 6500 lb boat (weight includes trailer).

it's a great combo, strong, quiet, not sure what the life will be. i'll probably go with the yellow stuff pads next. they are an even more aggressive pad. should offer even stronger braking, with shorter life as a result. but with how relatively inexpensive pads and rotors are, i'm more than willing to take that hit.

whats the point of high performance brakes if even the stock ones lock up the tires?

my brakes suck. I need a dual diaphragm booster. And better pads/rotors.

stock will lock them up if you're going down the road and crush the brakes, but if you're wheeling (certain types), you can experience brake fade due to heat, or reduced stopping or holding ability because of a lack of mud and water shedding. also, with a lot of our trucks, mine included, there is a ton of extra weight being toted around. more weight with the same tire footprint means higher pressure on the ground, and therefore it takes more to lock up the wheels. not that we're trying to lock them up, but it means you can make use of the extra stopping power to adequately stop the heavier than normal vehicle.

I have to press really hard on the brake pedal to stop. I need more grabby pads/rotors, or more pressure on the pads.

I've got approx 48,000 mi on the original stock rotors. They are badly warped. Looking for an upgrade as well. My steering wheel vibrates at freeway speeds.

Any recommendations on quality rotors that will not warp easily?

Maybe the weight of your wheel/tire combo plays a huge factor also?
    As mentioned above,

Im also running brembo blanks and hawk HPS. Works well for me on and offroad. No towing experience though as we sold our boat already. Those EBC's look cool!

Absolutely. I have a lot more rotating mass, and a lot more weight on the truck. I was thinking maybe EBC pads.

that's about what the EBC setup ran me. good bang for your buck. free shipping with autoanything too, which is nice with those heavy rotors.
