    Built for maximum low end torque, tooter II.VII intake manifold spacer, LCE long tube header, Injen long tube intake, 2,900 rpm torque peak.
    That's only because they are a lot wider than the stock tires. They are actually less than 1% different in diameter from the original stock tires so they don't mess up the gearing, speedometer, or odometer.

    I went this direction because I use my truck for daily utility transportation in my work, and it will never see off road use. Those Yokomaha tires are also low rolling resistance high gas mileage tires. They ride as smooth as silk and the truck sticks like crazy glue in the corners. Now that you mention it, it does have somewhat of a NASCAR look. It'll look even more so when I get these retro 1960's gunmetal racing wheels on it. :)

    If I was going to be off roading then I would definitely go that direction with the large diameter wheels and thick heavy truck tires. But that doesn't make any sense on asphalt. My 2.7 felt like a gutless slug trying to turn those big heavy high geared wheels. The only compensation would have been to regear the rear end.

    The engine is so much more responsive running smooth light weight stock diameter fuel efficient passenger car tires.

    So had LT245/75r16 Toyo tires Open Country A/T II,these were heavy on my 4 Banger.The old 6 ply was a lot of rubber to push.Contacted the dealer an took advantage of the 30 day trial,told the dealer that I wasn't happy and wanted to return them for the "P" rated ones.Just got them on and what a difference,should have done it in the first place.No problems with Saint John Toyota,they never blinked an eye.Toyo was a little slow to come around but in the end all was fine.
