Max sidewall pressure is needed for max load carrying ability.
Example, if the sidewall says 2500lbs @ 45psi Cold, then at 35psi, the tire may only be good for 1500lbs.

Higher inflation (up to sidewall max) provides better fuel economy, better tire life, and better wet traction (resistance to hydroplaning).
It also causes a more harsh ride, and hurts traction in off-road conditions, and makes the tire more prone to punctures from sharp rocks when off-road.
You will NOT wear out the center of the tread running at or below the sidewall max.

Personally, in a street truck, the harsh ride doesn't bother me, and off-road traction and hazards are not a concern, so I run at the sidewall max.
If your tires are a LR-E, they're going to bee too harsh up at 75psi... just adjust inflation for your comfort.

Look on the tire for the max pressure and go from there. Not all tires have the same ratings.

Max is way too much in most cases.
My guess is in the mid to upper 30s.
Search TW for Chalk Test to determine best pressure for your tires on your Taco.
Ensures even wear for longest lasting tread life.

50psi max, anything in 30-40 will be okay. 50 will be okay, but it'll be pretty harsh.
I used to run my Duramax at 60, and like you, I could see the center bow out when looking at the part of the tire that was not in contact with the road, but after 40k, the tire wear was dead even all the way across, still had more than 50% left. This was on BFG K/Os.

You won't pop a properly seated bead unless you get down into the teens and knock it on a rock.

I run max sidewall on every vehicle I've owned and have never seen uneven wear.
