Me too. But it would be wise to start saving for a clutch replacement.

your looking maybe 200 in metal... seems like a fair profit/ hourly pay when you think about how much time is in it. Im not knockin your price though, thats the going rate on plate bumpers. Its just i know i can and will build one so i know thats way out of line for me to spend that kind of money

nice, what kinda certs are you graduating with? Ive got my 3 and 4g fluxcore open root w/ backing and then ill be getting my 5g and 6g 2" boiler tube at the end of june

I have plenty more than $200 in steel since it's plasma cnc cut accurately to my design. I didn't just build this piece by piece, it's actually engineered and I can simulate forces and stuff to make sure it will stand up to impacts and towing.

But I'm all for building your own, but for mine it's not just a one off thing. I have to make it duplicatable.

CAD and all that software is something ive never been able to understand. My roommate graduated from UF with a degree in construction management and he had to take a CAD class and he tried to teach me some of the simple stuff and it was way over my head.
but again props on the bumper, I have the samething in mind for mine just with out it raised around the taillights and im gonna do a full wrap bumper and cut my bedsids

Try sub-$100 for the metal and a weekend in the garage. (You can buy 'drops' of all shapes and sizes of steel for around .55/.60 cents per lb.) CNC cut is... overkill. A few hard-board templates (if you plan on producing many) and a metal cutting circular saw with the ability to lay a half-way decent bead is all you need. But i digress.

Here's my tire. It holds air until the sidewall flexes at the bottom of the rotation. Then you can hear a loud "PSHHHHHT" as it purges air then seals up until the next rotation. FWIW, we were wheeling on old Ore tilings in Gilbert MN for the annual Open House at the IROHV park. Lots of sharp rocks.

fouillard13 - Are those lines in your tailgate from your bumper? Doesn't look like there's much free space between the bumper deck and the bottom of the gate... Otherwise, looks sweet!

Yes but my tail gate is bent. Tacomas have very week tail gates. I think if I had a straight one it wouldn't touch.

No worries, i bought the tire warranty from Discount and they're only 5 days old. At the worst i'll be out $10 for siping and $33 for a new warranty.

Only bad part is i need to wait for them to special order the replacement to a shop 30 miles away to have it siped (Not all shops in my area have the machine), then couriered up the the shop near my house. So i won't have the new one until Wednesday at the earliest.

Pretty happy i bought the 5th rim and used 33x10.5 BFG AT for a spare :)

Thank goodness for the extra spare, that would be pretty funny watching you drive around lop sided with 3 33" tires and one stock 16" or whatever haha
