Maybe a little offset reflex sight? I like the 1-4x as well, but only on a gaming/race gun. I feel like a bigger magnified scope with an offset dot is more versatile. With the one you have, you basically get a 1-10x setup by adding a dot.

    Just a thought.

I just picked up a Stag AR Model 2. I added the magpul extended trigger guard. I am keeping it stock for now. I also found a local gun store that has the O Kay gov't surplus mags, among others, for $10 each or 6 for $50. The mags are all bunched together some more used than others but you can pick and choose which ones you want. I got 2 very clean lightly used ones just because I was there. I looked on AR15.com and they rate them pretty high, so I'll go back and pick up a few more. This is my first AR. It's like christmas day when I was 10 years old and got a new bike, "Dad can I go for a bike ride?" Except now it's, " Honey, when can I go to the range?" She just laughs.

Thanks Rmodel, I did forget to mention the fact the OKay's are the ones Colt uses. I am going to break em' down and give a quick clean on the insides like I do when I used to buy M1 Carbine surplus mags at the gun shows. I think 10 bucks is a good price. Here is my Stag Arms Model 2. As you can see I did get a PMag also.

If one fails you have a extra (or 3) and if they get :censored: you have a stockpile (legally) unattainable mags.

Edit: sorry for the mad face, not sure why my phone added it.
