picked up my order of 300 .224 bullets for reloading my AR at cabela's and also a few boxes of .410 to try out in the break barrel shotgun im buying for my boys tomorrow! they are too little to use it now but it will be their first rifle

been planning on getting a pistol ever since i turned 21. time, money and the whole newtown panic slowed all that down till now; i turn 22 in two weeks. anyhow, the other day i was telling my friend who works at a hunting/outdoor store that i was looking for a Glock 19 as my first buy. sure enough the next day he calls me and says they just got one in, "used" but in great condition. no scratches, slide wear, nothin. they obviously shot it and said it was working perfect. $419 with one mag. for me they even knocked it down to $399 cause im good friends with a lot of the guys at the store. i jumped on it. i had just applied for my permit the day before but i paid for it friday and when my permit comes in on thursday i will be getting it and then picking up my very first pew pew gun

i guess i'll post pics when i get it, but it looks like every other glock 19 haha.

 

Gen 3 or Gen 4
The 9mm glock gen 4's have a couple of problems i had a gen 4 glock 17 liked how it shot and held BUT i got brass to the face once or twice for each 17 round mag. That shit is hot!! You can send it to glock or buy the parts from them to replace the ejector, extractor and the recoil spring. I traded mine for the ruger 44 mag above. I have a Glock 21 gen 4 that has never had a problem shoots like a champ and fits my hand like a glove so im not a glock hater or anything just giving you a heads up.
If you want more magazines or rail lazer ect. for a decent price go to glockstore.com they have everthing from glock standard mags to high capicty 100 round. Good luck on the new boom stick.

 

yeah i had read some of the same kinds of things about the Gen 4. stuff about the new coil acting funny. im admittedly not a gun nut, but i tried to do my research. it's a Gen 3.

Cabelas seems to have replenished their ammo stock, and the prices are back to where they "should" be. Bought a few boxes of 115gr FMJ & JHP, and we unloaded about 300 rds. yesterday with my Springfield XDm9 4.5" and my dad's Glock 21c and Springfield M1A. Good times.

 

Bought a DDM4V2. Pics to come when it arrives.
