Adam, on your deck that you made in place of your rear seat did you bolt it to the preexsisting holes? Picked up an arb 50qt deciding if im going to mount it in or out.

Nevermind found it on page 5....

Dang man. You're truck is rocking some serious gear. I absolutely love my fridge. One of the best purchases I've made.

One of the local members was selling it at a great price. Was on my lists to purchase so I jumped on it! Came with the slide as well. I'm going to make a truck bed deck similar to yours. I thought about putting it in the cab but my daughter still rides in the truck every now and then. I see you wired a 12 volt connector to the bed of your truck. How did you get the wires to the bed? I'm guessing you drilled through somewhere??

Side note; thanks for the tip on the bump stop. Went to my local trailer dealership and got one. Finished painting minor things on the bumper. It looks good man. Got the hi lift handle down a bit too. I'll post pictures with a descent camera.

Cool. Glad you found a bumpstop for the bumper.

For my 12v power to the bed, I actually cut a small hole in the drain plug near the front of the bed and the wires come up out of there. Maybe not the best spot but I didn't need to drill anything. I just ran the wires tight up the wheel well to underneath the bedrail. the plug is about halfway between the back of the wheel well and the tailgate tucked under the bed rail.

If you wire for constant power it's probably a good idea to unplug your fridge at night so you don't drain your battery.

That will work. Do you have the newer model ARB fridge? I think it has some better power draw safety measures than my older ARB fridge does. I've never had a problem with mine so maybe I shouldn't worry about it, but a little paranoia drives me to unplug it at night.

I believe it's the new model. I'll find out this afternoon when I get it.

Adam, do you happen to know the size of the front main eye bolt for our leaf springs? I'm about to start my install this weekend and want to pick up some spare bolts in case I need to cut the old ones out. I'm having a hell of a time finding the size of them online.

I believe it's 18mm but I could be wrong. I would call Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters. He'll know for sure and probably has some on hand he could overnight to you if you needed it.

Where is the best place to dump the exhaust (eg how far from the axle, how low, how far from the leaf springs etc?)

I'm thinking about doing this but have heard bad stories from 45acp about his being cut too close and melting lines on the axle..

In that picture I see what looks like the original exhaust hanger, did you just cut it off right there on the stock exhaust or did you remove the hanger and re-weld it in a new location after you cut the exhaust?

Lastly... can I just take a sawzall to my exhaust once I determine where I want it or will I mess things up considering it has 166,000 miles on it and it probably pretty corroded.

    Thanks in advance

Just don't have the exhaust point at anything that can get damaged by the heat, i.e. soft brake lines(or hard ones cuz you don't wanna cook your brake fluid), electricals, spring bushings, tires etc.

Mine is dumped behind the axle so the stuff on the axle is safe. I've seen quite a few people that cut right behind the muffler and do a 90* dump straight at the ground behind the muffler. That should work too.

Since my exhaust was cut just behind the axle the hangers at the muffler didn't support the tailpipe adequately. I cut that rearmost hanger off and rewelded it to the tailpipe where I cut it. At first I had a tab welded to the inside of the frame that the hanger bolted to. When I relocated my shocks last week it was right in the way of the new crossmember so I cut it off and now it's welded to the new shock crossmember.
