I voted no, just because we are in the market for a different type of vehicle. But we havent decided on that yet. It will either be a fullsize truck, probably diesel, 4d long bed. Or if we decide to go a different route, it will be an AWD car. We have narrowed it down to a Chrysler 300S, a Subaru Legacy 3.6R. I like the 300s, but they are spendy. If I get my way, it will be a Subi.

Probably not. I want to buy a small car for my next vehicle, and keep the Tacoma.

    Yep.

Betty only has 25000 miles, so it'll be a while before I'm ready to trade her in. But, assuming nothing too drastic changes in my life:

    4x4
    Access Cab
    Manual Trans

Rather than the 2wd, standard cab. Otherwise, just a new version of the same truck will be fine by me.

Maybe they have a leg to stand on with the mileage claim, but the power is ridiculous.

Although ill be keeping the tacoma the next vehicle will either be a built 73-87 chevy pickup 4" lift and 40s or a 4runner/ Cherokee on 36s.

Might need a touch more than a 4" to run 40s, unless you plan on cutting up some sheet metal.

Next mode of conveyance will be the new 2014 BMW 650 gt scooter, while waiting for the 2015 gen3 Taco. 2013 BMW 650 gt scooter has some bugs to be worked out from the factory. Stalling at low speeds, dealers cannot find the(computer) problem. Seems like I am waiting, waiting, waiting...................

I don't keep my vehicles forever though haha. and honestly, I'm not overwhelmed with my truck, for $37,000 it's not that special.

Nice truck, but I'll try something else for a bit.

This is why I am a big believer in buying used.

Comparison time...one of my good friends and I have the same vehicles. He and I both have Tacomas. Both of our wives drive Expeditions. Neither of our wives work so they put on very low miles per year.

He bought brand new for both vehicles. I bought used.

    Him: $47,000 (Expedition) + $33,000 (Tacoma) = $80,000 (ouch)

    Me: $22,000 (2007 Expedition bought in 2009) + $19,000 (07 Tacoma bought in 2010) = $41,000

Our Expedition is actually more loaded than theirs and after a couple of years, ours is actually in better shape as well. His Tacoma is still pretty new so I give it to him that his is nicer, but that will level out over time.

HUGE difference in total amount in loans and in monthly payment.

I went to a Tundra. I never considered getting another Taco. Also really like the F150. Might have ended up in an FX4 had they been more willing to sell a vehicle and I already didn't have a solid deal in place on the Tundra.

One of my current vehicles is a Tacoma. Why would my next one be? You need two?

Trail rig/tow rig I can see.

But I got other fish to fry. Some kind of pony car for misbehaving on asphalt is the next target.

Even though it's a four year away decision for me (at least), today I'm leaning WRX. I've always loved them. I have a long commute. Part of me says why not enjoy the driving experience of my commute to make it more tolerable.

I'll change my mind 400 times before that day comes, but that's today's preference.
