A small handful of select mods.

How early and where? FYI need acess to the back of your CB because the SWR goes inline between the antenna and the CB. The earlier the better for me.

to many to list, check the build thread
So why not have it up under the bed if it fits that size anyways? Just curious why or the benifits to having it up in the bed instead of below if you can get the 285/70/16 below?

anyone else have thoughts on this as well, why not just keep the spare down below if you can get the right size tire to fit under there

I'm an early riser and can have my center console apart the night before to make things quick and easy.

Where? I dunno, where would be good?

I just never cut the tabs and did the mod to put it there before. I don't like how it looks either under there

One of the main reasons is that when off road and especially in the rocks, there's a good chance that you're truck will be in a position where rocks won't allow you to fully lower your spare.

Also, when in the rocks, you can drag it like a boat anchor or puncture it if you came down on a ledge just right.

Quicker access to it to change it as you'll probably be in the middle of the trail and holding things up.

Gramps is up @4am to beat the senior rush at Denny's...so I would presume anytime after 5AM is good for him.

Yeah and all these things. More clearance out from under there. I don't want it down there really but we will see how it goes

you could always leave the bikes locked to tree at camp and stick the spare back in the bed if you don't want it under there while doing trails.

Yeah true. He might not come anyway so I will probably end up just strapping it down in the bed

    Almost forgot!

There's a certain coolness factor of the tire in the bed, especially when exposed on a rack. It tells everyone at the mall that you mean serious business. :anonymous:

We need some wide open space away from hills and buildings. Early is good as we have a couple of birthdays to celebrate on Saturday. The question is where?
Yeah those damn seniors take all the good booths!:D
Hell yeah and even more so if it's an orange rack!:D
