A small handful of select mods.
Buy with the card for the points, pay off at the end of the month. Also have a loving wife that makes more then me. :D

Use points to pay for vacations where she wants to go. She's happy I get to do more mods. :)

To get mod money I put videos on youtube where I get verbally abused on public transportation and wait for the money to roll in from people who are saddened by this and want to help.....................

Saving up and paying cash may seem to take like a long time but I think having the discipline to do this ends up being a reward in itself. Also, my personal opinion is that your appreciation for taking your time and saving for your mod will give you a greater bit of satisfaction. I think it is silly to go into debt to mod out a truck or participate in any hobby.

I am also a big proponent of doing it right the first time. Don't skimp... buy the best parts the first time. Don't shortcut your build for the sake of expediency. Your truck's not going anywhere nor are the mod options.

    Good luck!

Well I had been making some cash by prostituting myself, and selling off my children as indentured slaves. The problem is I was too ugly for even the old women, and the other people kept sending back my kids saying they were too lazy. So now I just save up a little at a time, and also rely on donated parts from when someone else has upgraded their original mods. It's a slow process, but over the course of almost 2 years she has undergone extensive body work, repainting, a modest lift, additional lighting and accessories, and new interior.

Late night knock's on my door keep my truck going strong!

All kidding aside, I will only buy items with "cash" (I use my rewards credit card as a debit card - pay it off instantly). I put my student loans on the card, my truck payment on the card, all our utilities are put on the card and I just pay them off instantly to earn my reward points as cash back.

We are in the process of getting a mortgage for a house and I will absolutely put that monthly payment on the credit card, pay it off the next day using my checking account. With all the options today for cash back and if you have the credit ability to get a card (and the financial restraint), it doesn't make sense not to abuse the system. Every year I get a return check from the credit card company to flat out pay for a vacation and a few extras on the side - I even put those on the card and use the return check to pay it off!

My sister does the same thing with her Delta Skymiles card. Buys everything on that card, then pays it off at the end of the month. She gets to fly for free a LOT, and when our mom passed away this month she was able to get 2 round trip tickets for my daughters to come to the service.
