BVSC: Afro-cuban jazz and 50's club music. There is a great documentary about it. Ry Cooder produced. Think of it as sort of pre-Castro Havana heyday swing. Mostly.

LTOC: soundtrack to the move, music by Peter Gabriel, influenced by an incredible array of mainly middle-eastern, north african, arabian, etc. world music, some of it very primal and haunting. There is a companion album, Passion Sources, which is actually the original source music that influenced Gabriel.

 

I just got goosebumps. Love it.

 

Also grew up listening to Peter. He is quite the artist

I don't know anything about the dude or whatever (whether or not he's racist or etc), but I found his CD laying around in my mother's CD collection, so I ripped it. I really like his tracks, they are clear and easy to hear (higher pitched).

That has been all over the LT BS thread for the last few days. Pretty sick jump and the guy didn't seem too butthurt about destroying his truck either, but I think he owns a shop and is just going to rebuild the whole thing now.
