I forget what the trail was. Wasn't that bad of a trail. Just an oops moment.

Very happy! Turning is a lot better now! I didn't realize the loss in steering perfomance until I started driving home after the new rack was installed.

I had to tack weld a piece to limit steering a bit to keep the tires from chewing on the frame rails. Got that done this weekend.

The only extension I could find for my steering shaft was for the rag joint. I took off the cover and I have the riveted rag joint. So, in order to install a spacer, I'll have to find a way to get a drill in there to drill out the rivets. Do you know of anyone who makes a longer coupler that I could just swap in? The longest I could find was 2" which is what it already is.

I could always cut and sleeve it. I have no concerns regarding the strength of that option, but it's more permanent than I really wanted.

Do you know if it's possible to order the factory coupler by itself? If so, I wonder if I could just modify the coupler to extend it 3/4" - 1".

That way I could return it to stock when I do the future swap.

On my way back from Moab I will be spending a couple days in Durango and want to do something fun (wheeling or something totally different) but don't know what to do. I am trying to plan for the 5th. I will be riding the train to Silverton on the 6th, when the wife gets done with the training that takes me to Durango in the first place. I will have my 1yr old daughter with me so I can't go climbing or anything, but does anyone have any ideas or time to come down and meet me for a run?

I'm here & we can defo do food/drinks whenever. You've already got the train covered... not sure what else would be 1yr old friendly. Purgatory is open for Summer activities on 5/25, but again not much for the really wee ones (chair lift = 3yo+). The Discovery Museum is hands-on for kids. I'd offer riding but I only have my X3 here in CO.

Sounds good, I will probably get your number and call you while I'm down there. I'm wondering if there is a Fourteener down there in the San Juan's that I would be able to do with my daughter in my hiking backpack. It would be cool if she could bag her First 14er when she is only one.

    Look up Handies Peak

Since you're lifted you'll be able to get to the upper trailhead which is above treeline.

    EDIT: Here ya go... http://14ers.com/photos/peakmain.php?peak=Handies+Peak
