Let's take stock...and I'mnot takign sides, but pointing to the reality...

You take a picture and ask the community to tell YOU how big the spacer is. No brand, no model number, zip. Now, some might recognize the actual product, but that's a long shot if we're all honest.

It strikes me that a logical way to answer the question would be to...measure the spacer. Shove a bit of cardboard in there, mark a line at the base of the spacer, then measure it out in the open.

I am NOT trying to bust your chops, but you're smacking on a member who has, in my personal experience, taken the time to educate me by answering what I know are repetitive questions - heck, he has been positng for a while, so he's seen it all, I suspect.

That tends to lower one's patience point somewhat.

Or it could be because he's Canadian. ;) I'm a Canadian, too, so you'll likely think I'm busting on you, too, but I'm not.

If I were, I'd say something like...

"If you learned to measure small things like this yourself, it could lead to even greater wins in life. Like eventually, if you really work at it, being able to wipe your own arse!"

But, I refuse to stoop to that level. I can see both side of this - you want help, and you feel he was less than helpful. But can you see how easy this question is to answer? Any why some folks could get short when answering?

Appreciate the concern but something that seems logical to one may not be to another. I know very little about suspension. Did not even know where the spacer was until a member told me to take the picture. Then doing some research i found where another member said to post a picture and someone could probably tell them what was there. Once I had an idea I still didnt not know how to measure it it from where the original placement of the shock would be. So a smart ads reply doesn't put your buddy in the right. Thx.

    Take a tape measure
Measure from the centre of the hub to the underside of the fender in the front and the rear
    Compare measurements
Add AAL of appropriate height to the rear to adjust to your desired result
    Be happy again

    oh , and " know " and " ass "

    Completely reasonable starting point.

...and I tried to explain my goal wasn't to be a smart ass... ;)

Either way, I think you'll fit in just fine around here. :)

Whenever a new person goes toe-to-toe with long standing members, calls people on when they sense what they think is BS or attiude, AND they keep engaging so they can learn...

...yep, they'll fit in just fine given some time... and a measuring tape... ;)

-1 for being a dick to one of the most helpful people here

May I suggest researching a little before starting a thread next time. 99.999999999% of the time you have a question it has already been covered in depth because these trucks have now been out for 9 years.

May I also suggest a legible thread title if there is a need to start one unlike "How many inch is it?" that just sounds tarded and will bring on the wrath of the interwebz.

There is also the PM method if you can't find an answer.

I was in your shoes 5 years ago and this is just my opinion based upon what I have seen over the years. If you follow those steps not only will you get smarter by learning more on your own instead of being spoon fed answers you will most likely be better off because some of the guys here will tell you incorrect info.

Not trying to be a dick - just trying to help you out.

I don't need you telling me how or how not to post. Not being a dick. Or maybe I am since you think by chiming in like a little kid will get you browny points with the others. If you have a problem with how I do things feel free to call 865-7one2-53nine4. And by the way the -1 was very hurtful lol
