I kind of have a watch fetish. Here are the few that I cycle through the most. For reference, I'm 6' tall and weigh 189lbs.

I really like Invicta Watches. I love their style and yes, "some" of the watches they make are shit, but if you spend the extra money you get a very high quality watch.

I love the beauty of Mechanical Watches. I wind it once every two days.

I've had this watch for many years and use it for when I am doing High Angle Rope Rescue or other types of Tactical Rescues because It is pretty much Bullet Proof. You can see the wear marks on this watch.

I really like the look of the first 2 you show there, the first one has a nice elegance to it...the second is just badass... I love when you can see the watch actually working on the inside

Same here. I love skeleton watches. I can't imagine the craftsmanship that goes into a watch like that and how the hell do you figure it all out lol? Think of all that goes into a mechanical watch with all the different gears, springs, etc. and for it to keep perfect time? I love stuff like that.

I will say one thing though. If you do decide to go with a Invicta watch get ready for a bunch of questions from others. They aren't for people that don't want to be noticed lol.

    Citizen Solar Atomic

I wore a G-Shock when I was working in the field. In my job, I need the accuracy of atomic time. Cell phone is no good because it only displays minutes.

Got promoted into engineering, turned in the bucket truck and jeans for slacks and polos... and replaced the watch with something nicer.

    Yup.

Mine is. I just wanted something nicer for the new job.
I still wear the G-Shock when I'm doing something that would thrash the Citizen.
I've needed atomic accuracy for 20 years... not just with my current job.
Before the G-Shock, I'd set my watch every morning using the atomic clock in my living room, and spot-check it with the GPS.
Any time I had an analog watch, I'd make sure it had a hacking movement so I could freeze the second hand and start it on command.

    this and that...
i buy a lot of g shock watches, so thats what i use for everyday duties. the next on my list is gonna be the gwa-1000-1a aviation. for a go out watch a have a few citizens, seiko, and a gucci. i would like to end up purchasing a tag, omega, or rolex, but i cant find a reason to justify the price since i rarely, if ever go out =/.

I'm a big fan of Breitling watches.

I want this watch so bad that I can taste it (except with a black face)

Thing is... it cost $5000 dollars and there is this pesky little law called the Law of Diminishing Return. If you know me and if you have read some of my post I am a HUGE advocate of "you get what you pay for". I refuse to buy cheap shit. I just won't do it. If I can't afford it I won't buy a knock off I'll just wait until I can. Breitling, Tag, Rolex, etc... are all quality watches and I would love to have one. But someone will have to give it to me. You are buying into a brand more so than the quality.

All the watches I posted were not cheap but they were not overly expensive either. Each one serves a purpose for me and I know that I spent my money well. Hell, the Suunto was $300 but it was worth it because of all that it can do. I rely on it when I'm hiking and the storm function on it has been pretty accurate. The LumiNox is bullet proof and has been through so many rescues and fires that I have no idea how it still works.

I could say the same for our trucks. I bought a Tacoma not so much for it's looks (although I like how it looks obviously) but for the reliability. Are there cheaper trucks out there that would serve a purpose? Yeah but the quality was lacking in my opinion. I spent a little more money for a better truck so the price was justified to me.
