    9 months is a long time and seller did not explicitly "warranty" the skid... While it could be a fault of poor preparation before the Powdercoat was placed or poor bake time; again there is no warranty that I know of. If you did catch it earlier you could have prevented a lot of that and although it sucks, it is still very salvageable. I'm sure I know a few folks on here who would take it from you at no charge and refinish that and slap it back on their truck:D From what I see this is an owners failure to maintain it. Not the fault of the finish. Sand her down, take some Rustoleum to it and call it a day.

    Mine has a chip on the right hand side corner from wheeling, took a Testors Paint Pen on it and it should hold up a bit.

    I have sent you an email and a PM, just waiting to hear your reply.

    I am aware that you purchased the skid plate in July 2012; however, please keep in mind that your Dad did purchase the product off of me used. I was sold out of stock at the time of your Father’s request, so in order to compensate I offered to sell the skid plate off of my own truck. This was so that he could have it in time for your birthday. This was one of the very first black skid plates that I had made. So it’s older than what you previously stated.

    The first fabrication of skid plates were in fact purchased at a lower cost and didn’t have the same level of cleaning and prepping the new ones do before painting. The savings were passed on to you at that time. Improvements have been made to the current selling skid plates. These improvements have resulted in a slightly higher production cost. Sorry for any inconvenience. I await your reply.
