They finally stopped generating enough today for me to be able to actually get in. Didn't catch a ton, but they were decent sized. I was just glad to be back on the water.

Caught a stupid Horny Head. I hate these fish. Just junk fish.

The reason they're called "horny heads"...

    about a 2.5 pounder

First fish posts of the year, been a long winter here in KC. 5 acre farm pond, hit it this morning early after it stormed all night. Just killed em, between me and my two kids we caught at least 10 fish over 2 lbs. and a couple 4's. pond is about 7 years old and producing nicely.

Went out this evening for a couple hours of throwing topwaters. Had a couple blowups but then I found myself looking at a flood tide and figured I would go check out my spots.

It paid off big. Ended the evening with 6 or 8 reds. All were solid fish with a couple over slot (eyeballing it)

    Pictures from the evening

So last night I caught the WORLD RECORD Northern Snakehead... The issue here is the same as the other guy JUAN that was disqualified from the World record. We killed and ate it. I assumed that my tournament BogaGrips and additional digital scale would suffice with pics also before I gave the fish away.

Thanks man. I didn't have a scale on me, but I'd say she was easily over 6lbs, probably pushing 7. Damn near flipped the canoe tryin to land her. This was last spring and I let her go, so hopefully I can find her again this year.
