You should really check out Toyo AT II's. BFG's are crazy expensive right now, and the new Toyo's are a very good tire. They are my next tire purchase.

EDIT: Discount may not have them in stock, but they will most likely order them for you. they usually don't keep Toyo's in house.

I was between those and Toyos for quite a while. If you look at the first toyota on SDHQ's page you'll see the Toyos, same size.

    http://sdhqoffroad.com/photos/toyota/

I haven't taken them out yet, just street driving (very quiet). All the reviews basically pointed me towards them. It sounds like in the end BFGs may be slightly better off-road - but for everything else the new toyo AT's win, especially on price. Personally I was a bigger fan of the look for the BFG's, although in the end I feel the toyos look plenty aggressive and have a good ride so far.

    TOYO FTMFW!

Toyo's are a great tire, cheaper and better than the BFG's. It's a no brainer. We have sets in stock at 285/70/17s i believe

    Nice!!!!!

That tread doesn't look very aggressive but if you are comparing them to bfg at's then that makes sense.

No All terrain tread is gonna be very aggressive, IT would defeat the purpose of the tire. They look much better in person, and the sidewall is great on them. IF you want aggressive, it's M/T's all the way.

I had the Original Toyo AT's on my F150 and got a full 60K out of them. That's multiple trips to the snow, sand, desert, and highway. Never got 1 flat and never got stuck or chunked like the BFG's do. That was on a 2001 F-150 prerunner

Are those the LT versions? Or extremes? The AT2's will be my next tire as well. Still deciding which version to go with.

Same thing. The LT285-70-17 is the xtreme version. Solved that problem for ya!

They may have a P285-70-17 but no truck should ever go with a passanger tire. I think it's like the 11th commandment ha ha ha
