Does installing a lift void the factory warranty?

I've read that it does due to the fact that it changes the angles of your drive shaft, cv axles etc and then I've read that it doesn't. I've done countless numbers of searches for the answers and they all contradict each other from what I've found. I would like to know for certain as well because I have a lifetime powertrain and bumber to bumber warranty on my 2012 SR5 4.0l

It's like a bumper, but the middle part is upside down, more protection this way.

Bumbers are getting pretty popular I see. Third time I've come across them being mentioned today.

Obviously if you have a bumper to bumper warranty, Toyota won't warrant non OEM parts. They didn't want to grease my 1-piece drive shaft even though it has only 1 zerk, so I took them my OEM drive shaft in the bed of my truck and watched them do it.

Anyone know how much it costs to get a dealer installed 3 inch body lift?

It doesn't void any of it on paper.

    In reality, prepare for annoyance!

I bought a new '13 DC TRDoffroad this past Monday. I looked at a new TRDsport DC with an already installed aftermarket lift, steps, tires. I wanted the offroad so I said that I wanted ARB bumper, OME lift, Warn winch, and BFG AllTerr installed when I pick it up. We haggled over an insane installation price for a while, but when the salesman said, "Oh!, the lifetime powertrain warranty is void if it's lifted though the factory bumper to bumper is still good." THAT sealed the deal. Without those items it reduced the price over $7500. Debate continued....

I saw your post in the suspension forum about this. I called 2 local dealers, the only lifts they install and warranty here are 2" leveling spacer lifts. Kind of lame!

Had mine installed by the dealer, $1800 CAD, toytec OEM 3" with 2" AAD... parts came to roughly $1K, shipping, taxes, government handouts all added to the final total. But to keep the warrenty it seemed worth it... it's just a scam anyways, like most corporate dealings.
