I am still working and getting nothing done (on the truck anyway). I think I will have to just reduce my list to maintenance and have all my stuff just bouncing around in the back because packing/organization is gonna have to be thrown together last-minute. Oh well, I'll be there!

Sounds kind of like me. Some last minute things are NOT going to get done like I had hoped. Luckily most of my shit is organized and easy to pack though.

LOL, not quite for me. Funding for last minute projects went bye-bye due to broken garage door. I hate it when real life gets in the way of my TW world. :D

Thanks! I will probably do that. I forgot about how crazy it is for a teacher during the last two weeks of school. Grading, cleaning, surveys and all the other day-to-day stuff that comes along with the job. Damned work keeps getting in the way of this trip! ;)

Then there is the fact that I really want to do all the stuff myself, but have little experience in doing stuff like wiring myself. I could pay for someone else to do the stuff, but then that takes away from the experience I could get if I had someone show me how and takes money that I would spend on vacation stuff or raffle tickets. So instead I will just do what HAS to be done and the rest will come along out there or some other time this summer.

that handy-dandy outlet in the bed works amazingly well for plugging in a drop light too. ;) Just gotta be aware of the exhaust, serpentine belt, and fan if you're running it off the vehicle you're working on.

Just a quick note for those of legal drinking age. If you are bringing alcohol into Utah from out of state, just be aware of this should you get pulled over for any reason.

    Drive Safe! :burnrubber:

    reference: http://publicsafety.utah.gov/investigations/AE_FAQ.html#import

Can I bring alcoholic beverages into Utah from another state?
No, with some exceptions. It is ILLEGAL to go to another state, purchase the booze and bring it back to Utah. It is ILLEGAL to receive alcoholic beverages through the US Postal service or any other courier service. The exceptions are listed below.

Utah code annotated 32a-12-212 states, "A person may not have or possess within this state any liquor unless authorized by this title or the rules of the commission, except that: (a) a person who clears United States Customs when entering this country may have or possess for personal consumption and not for sale or resale, a maximum amount of one liter of liquor purchased from without the United States; or (b) a person who moves his residence to this state from outside of this state may have or possess for personal consumption and not for sale or resale, any liquor previously purchased outside the state and brought into this state during the move, if: (i) the person first obtains department approval prior to moving the liquor into the state; (ii) the department affixes the official state label to the liquor; and (iii) the person pays the department a reasonable administrative handling fee as determined by the commission.

With that said...I've got no problem with people drinking, but I'd like to put out one more respectful request that if you are in one of my trail groups to please leave the alcohol until after the run is over. I know everyone's a man and can handle their drinks. It's not about that. It's very important to me to do all I can to keep everyone in my groups as safe as possible, and still have a total blast doing it. Accidents can happen, stuff can break, trucks can rollover and people can sometimes even get hurt. If anything were to happen in our groups I'd hate to have anyone question whether it could have been avoided if there wasn't alcohol.

Please just save it until the after the run and you're sitting around the fire swapping stories from the day.

Good call man! Utah has some stupid laws on alcohol... All beer (might be a few exceptions) in Utah is only 3.5% (or something close to that). My parents have always referred to Utah beer as "gets you fat not drunk" while most beer in Idaho is 4-4.5% with a few as high as 6%.
