Just discovered my passenger side mud flap is ripped where it meets the body. I'm pretty sure I finally found the mysterious clunking noise I've been having on the passenger side..... from the damn mud flap. Took a really windy day...and the clunks occurred with every gust of wind. Who would've thought? The flap is ripped from end-to-end and you can't see it without pulling it away from body.

So....I need at least, a passenger side mud flap. OEM's are upwards of $70 each NEW. Aftermarket flaps all appear to be too short. I've seen OEM's on ebay for $60 EACH with shipping (take-offs). Anyone with a newer truck have a set you need/want to sell? Or is there some aftermarket flaps that are just as long as the OEM ?
I can only assume all 2nd gens are the same, but the newer ones have a newer front end...just not sure. Never seen a newer one up close & personal. :D

    Anyway...Thanks for the suggestions/help!!

it probably broke off because the damn things wave at anyone you go by going faster than 55 mph. i see other tacomas on the road and the flaps are a wavin at me...if you get new ones id trim 4 inches off them like i did. just the fronts.. they dont wave no more trimmed. they still protect the paint at 4 inchs off too

If they are the front ones, I have a set off my '13 that I'm about to put up on ebay. I was going to sell them as a pair though. I think they're all the same across the years?

Yeah...that and the big wads of snow that buildup on them. I hate that stuff and I'm always kicking it off. Probably not a good idea

My husband says to take them off completely. I have OEM running boards which protects the rockers but I just can't stand the crap that would build up under there in the winter especially.

Not opposed to go any route at this point.

Janster, you might not want to entertain the thought of Huskey mud flaps they apear to be shorter but are supposted to bolt right up. Oh yea they cost about $40.00 for a set of 2.

Any and/or most all of the aftermarket flaps that I've seen are shorter than stock. I actually love Husky stuff. I'm not opposed to those - and I would get used to them being shorter (and save a few $$). Just gaining feedback & opinions here. That's what makes the forum great!

I've got a complete set that I will give you if you want. I hated how they looked on my truck and took them off. All you need to do is pay for shipping (no idea how much that will be) but they are yours. I know I could sell them but if they will help another member I would rather someone else take advantage of them on here.

    They just need washed off.

If you need just the front pass side, you can have mine for just shipping.

I have the 3 screws but the plastic tabs are gone

I've had a couple private message already for used ones - which is very cool. I have no idea what shipping will cost either. Shouldn't be 'heavy' but the size of the box. I live in 17538. If anyone has dimensions of the box, I could plug it into USPS website and get an idea.

    Thanks!

not to jack anyones sale, but they are given away often in the "I want free stuff" thread. I wasn't sure how to have the wanting party pay for shipping but, for example, the guy im giving mine to got a prepaid, both ways, usps box that is on the way to my house. supposedly I just package the flaps, and deliver it to the local post office. . . easy peasy
